Mbo Chairman presents certificate to winner of Senator Akon Eyakenyi Girl Child Competition

The Transition Committee Chairman, Mbo Local Government Area,Mr. Sunday Etim,has lauded the sterling performance of Mbo representative in the just concluded Senator Akon Eyakenyi’s Girl-Child Speech Competition,Miss Vivian Clement Effiong who emerged winner in the competition.Receiving Vivian Effiong alongside her father,Mr Clement Effiong, in his office at the Council Secretariat,Enwang, on Monday,March 18, 2024,the Chairman said Vivian’s feat is worth emulating as she emerged the overall winner amongst other contestants drawn from different Secondary Schools in the five Local Government Areas of Oro Nation.The Council boss who expressed delight over Vivian’s laudable and well deserved emergence as the overall winner in the competition,described her as “The Beacon of Hope and A Future Ambassador” of Mbo Local Government Area and pledged financial support to enable her achieved her goals.In a keenly contested Inter-Local Government Speech Competition organised by Oro Nation Leadership Roundtable (OLR) in honour of the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State,Senator Akon Eyakenyi, on the topic “Achieving Greatness Despite Stereotypical Obstacles,” Mbo Local Government Area emerged victorious with Vivian Effiong of Best Life Model Academy, Ibaka, polling 84% to claim the N200,000 Star Prize.According to the Chairman, the feat attained by Vivian, an indigene of Ibuot Utan in Effiat Community is a result of her unrelenting commitment to learning and personal development which Mbo is undebatably known for.”I congratulate you Vivian for putting up a strong and convincing performance in the competition and for making Mbo proud.Your oustanding performance goes to show the true spirit of Mbo people.On behalf of Mbo people,I urge you to take your studies seriously and continue in your pursuits for excellence.By God’s grace,if you gain admission into University,as government we will award scholarship to enable you achieve your goal.Also,as government,we will continue to support Mbo sons and daughters in their academic pursuits.”The elated father of Vivian,Mr.Clement Effiong thanked the Chairman for his support to his daughter and pledged his commitment to continue to guide her on the path to success.
