Opportunities should find you prepared, Pst Patience Umo Eno tells Akwa Ibom female youth

During the recent Akwa Ibom Female Youth Symposium, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, the wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, urged young women to proactively develop themselves while being ready for opportunities.This advice was given during the inaugural Akwa Ibom Female Youth Symposium organized by the Association, led by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Female Youth Mobilization, Mrs. Esta-Nta Bob, in collaboration with The Golden Initiative. The event, themed “Moulding and Transforming Lives of Young Women to Discover Self-Value,” took place at the Governors Office Annex on Wellington Bassey Way in Uyo yesterday.Represented by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet, Pastor Eno, in her speech on “Building a Good Marriage,” emphasized that lasting marriages require more than just beauty; wives must also be supportive in every aspect to sustain their homes.At the symposium, Dr. Inemesit Uwah, a business expert and scholar, shared insights on the essential elements of running a successful business, highlighting that self-value, self-discovery, timing, and determination are crucial to overcoming challenges in the business world.Dr. Bright Archibong discussed basic life etiquette, such as manners in social interactions, dining at functions, dressing appropriately, and seating etiquette, drawing from personal experiences to underscore the importance of leading a life of decency with elegance.Dr. Grace Jim, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Deputy Governor, representing Senator (Dr.) Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi, spoke on “Young Women in Politics,” encouraging female youths to pursue their ambitions with focus and determination, emphasizing that success is a product of hard work and sacrifice.The Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Sir Monday Ebong Uko, represented by the SSA to the Governor on Youth Matters, Mr. Iniobong Akpan, highlighted the importance of focus, determination, and overall conduct of young women. He urged the participants to emulate the humility and determination of the accomplished female speakers at the Symposium, regardless of their achievements and social status.
