Akwa Ibom Talent Foundation Show Season 2 to hold March…as Ministry of Information pledges support

Ministry of Information and Strategy, has pledged to support Akwa Ibom Talent Foundation (Season 2), holding from 26 March, 2024, in the state.

The Commissioner, Comrade Ini Ememobong, made the pledge when he received members of the foundation in his office recently.

The Honourable Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Akparawa James Edet, was joined by Directors and principal officers of the Ministry.

Speaking at the event, the Project Consultant to Akwa Ibom Talent Foundation, Mr Moses Eskor, who led other members of the foundation, said the foundation whose vision is to discover, develop and promote creative talents in Akwa Ibom State, was established by Bishop Daniel Jack, a US- based clergy and medical practitioner whose drive is to provide platforms for the development of talented citizens of Akwa Ibom State.

He said the foundation objective is in line with the philosophy of the ARISE Agenda of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, whose administration is poised to provide opportunities to talented and Industrious youths in Akwa Ibom State, taking them from the streets and growing them from grass to grace.

The consultant said that Season 1 of Akwa Ibom Talent Show which was sponsored by Bishop Daniel Jack trended online and was viewed by over ten million people globally

Mr Eskor informed the commissioner that the winners of the Season 1 were awarded with over two million worth of prizes, and that Akwa Ibom Talent Foundation had applied for Visa to take the overall winner, Mr Christian Victor to the USA for his career enhancement.

Mr Eskor said he and members of the foundation were in the Ministry of Information to intimate them of the Season 2 of the prestigious Talent Hunt Project coming up from the 26th of March 2024 and also to ask for support from the ministry.

Responding, the Commissioner promised the Ministry’s support to the prestigious Talent Development Project.

The Commissioner commended the foundation and their President, Bishop Daniel Jack, for the vision of such projects and said the project was truly in line with the vision of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

The Commissioner also pledged to lead principal officers of the ministry to attend the Season 2 of Akwa Ibom Talent Show in March 2024.
